As I reported earlier Palace Het Loo in Apeldoorn, The Netherlands, has closed its doors on 8 January 2018 and will be renovated and extended in the coming years. The palace expects to open its doors again in 2021. Many people I know can hardly wait and hope that the renovation will be great.
Of course the website of the palace isn’t closed, although somehow I can’t find an English version anymore. The good news is that you can still visit the gardens, the stables and restaurants. They will be open from 30 March to 30 September 2018, and the stables are also open from 15 December 2018 to 6 January 2018.
What I do love is that the palace recently opened a Facebook group called Paleis Het Loo Vernieuwt where you can follow what goes on in and around the palace at the moment. Of course it is all in Dutch, but they’ve already shared several pictures and videos, for example of furniture being moved. Moving out of a palace isn’t as easy as you might think. I just hope all the items will survive the move.
