It’s a while since this wedding took place, but as there were no photos published anywhere until now (the new Frau im Spiegel Royal), I only post them now. Thanks to a friend, I can show you this wonderful selection.
In the impressive parish church St. Quirinus in Tegernsee, in the south of Germany, on 24 June 2023 Dr. Nicolaus Berlin and Countess Camilla von Drechsel said YES. They were married by provost Markus Pottbäcker and Father Eberhard von Gemmingen in a one and a half hour ceremony. The church is something special. It is here that the parents of Empress Elisabeth of Austria, Duke Max in Bavaria and Princess Ludovika of Bavaria, got married in 1828. After the ceremony, the couple left in a red BMW-Cabrio to the reception that took place in Gmund, where the family of the bride resides.
The groom was born in 1990 as son of Tilo Berlin and Countess Filippa von Goëss. Camilla was born in 1994 as daughter of Count Maximilian von Drechsel and Franziska Monforts von Hobe. Both bride and groom have interesting Gotha-connections. The groom’s maternal grandmother was Altgräfin Gabrielle zu Salm-Reifferscheidt-Krautheim und Dyck. His uncle Count Moritz is married to Duchess Fleur von Württemberg. Camilla is a direct descendant of King Maximilian I Joseph of Bavaria.
There were around 350 guests. The best men and maids of honour were Alexandra von Löwenstein, Cecil von Croÿ, Helena Costantino, Johannes de Waal, Laura Berlin, Milana von Drechsel, Moritz von Drechsel, Pedro dos Santos Ribeiro. The bridal children were: Leopold Costantino, Albert Hoyos, Filippa von Oppenheim Ribeiro and Clementine Kruis.
