The wedding season has started again. Nikolaus Habsburg-Lothringen – for royalists Archduke of Austria – married his childhood friend Sandra Aschauer at the St.-Nikolaus-Kirche in Bad Ischl, Austria, on 4 May 2024. The party afterwards – with around 150 guests – took place at the Kaiservilla in Bad Ischl. Their civil wedding took place in Gablitz, Austria, on 24 April 2024.

The bride had opted for a chic traditional dirndl made of silk. It had a long train instead of an apron. The dress was created by Hedwig Feldscher, an aunt of the groom, who is a fashion designer. The groom wore a fitting outfit by Frederic Meisner.

Nikolaus was born in 2000 as son of Archduke Matthias of Austria and his wife Eva Anderle. The groom is a great-great-grandson of Archduke Franz Salvator and Archduchess Marie-Valerie, a daughter of Emperor Franz Joseph and Empress Elisabeth of Austria. Sandra is a daughter of Franz and Andreas Aschauer. She is aged 24. Her father is the owner of Feinkost Aschauer in Vienna.

Sandra and Nikolaus, according to the magazine Bunte, met at the gymnasium and have been together for 10 years already. They breed labradors under the name of Labradors vom Aschauergut.
