Royal Wedding Saturday

Traditionally Saturday is the day to get married when you’re noble or royal. Of course it happens that weddings take place on other days, but not that often.

On Saturday 13 July 2013 there were two nice weddings in royal circles. Marie-Eleonor Countess Kuefstein, born in 1990 as daughter of Andreas Count Kuefstein and Elisabeth Princess von Bayern, married Christoph-Joseph Barelli at the Parish Church St. Michael in Röhrenbach, Austria. Happily a local newspaper was so nice to publish a whole series of pictures. See meinbezirk.at.

At the Pfarr- und Wallfahrtskirche Mariä Himmelfahrt in Aufkirchen am Starnberger See, Germany, Lioba Meister married Alistair Hayward. He is from South Africa. She was born in 1983 as elder daughter of Christian Meister and his former wife Archduchess Gabriela of Austria. Luckily a friend of mine, who lives in the area, found out about the wedding some days beforehand. Thanks Gabi, not only for the information, but also for the lovely pictures.
