On 14 August 2021 a noble wedding took place in the beautiful baroque and catholic Pfarrkirche Heilig Kreuz (Parish Church Holy Cross) in Polling, Germany. The weather was gorgeous when Benedikt von Doderer married Elisabeth von Brauchitsch.
The groom was born in 1974 as eldest child of Christian von Dorerer and Stephanie Freiin von Wechmar. The bride was born in 1990 as daughter of Constantin von Brauchitsch and Christiane Freiin von Künsberg. The couple met several years ago.
The bride wore a dress designed by Adeline Marx. The tiara was made 1901 for the wedding of the great-grandparents of the groom, Christian von Buchwaldt (1865-1940) and his wife Alice née Wilkens (Baltimore, USA 1877-1951). The car the couple was driven in was a replica of an historical sports racing car called Mercedes Uhlenhaut Coupé 300SLR.
The four witnesses of the bridal couple were Maximilian von Brauchitsch (brother of the bride), Isabelle Bagusat-Hohenberg, Benedikt Count Bolza and Maximilian von Doderer (brother of the groom).
Among the guests were Vollrad Joachim Edler von Poschinger and his wife Pilar née Archduchess of Austria, Fürst Albert von Thurn und Taxis, members of the families Arco-Valley, Thurn und Taxis and Waldburg zu Wolfegg und Waldsee.
There is a two-page report in Bunte, dated 19 August 2021.
