Wedding bells in Vienna

The wonderful photos are copyrighted by my friend Gabi P.

Engagement rumours already existed since April 2019 when the boyfriend of Princess Maria Anunciata of Liechtenstein, Emanuele Musini, attended the funeral of Anunciata’s grandfather maternally Grand Duke Jean of Luxembourg. The same story for her sister Princess Marie-Astrid, who in 2019 seems to have become engaged to Ralph Worthington V. Both men appeared on the official guestlist for the funeral. Likely also here Covid-19 stood in the way. Anyway Marie-Astrid and Rafe are to get married in three weeks time, while Maria Anunciata and Emanuele tied the knot already this weekend.

The civil wedding is supposed to have taken place on 26 June 2021 at the Villa della Tenuta di Fassia near Gubbio, Italy, a former estate of the Ruspoli Princes, but that was denied by Princess Anunciata later on in the magazine “Point de Vue”, saying that was just an engagement party. The civil wedding is only supposed to have taken place late August in Vaduz, Liechtenstein.

Carlo Emanuele Guido Musini was born in London in the second half of 1979 as son of Nicolò Musini (died 2005) and Monica Traglio. His father was a son of Elena Mancini Griffoli, from an Italian noble family. She was adopted by Senatore Cicci Borletti, who was married to her mother Nella Cosulich, from the shipping family with that name. This couple bought Villa Fassia in 1941 from Don Marco Ruspoli, 2nd Prince di Poggio-Suasa.

Princess Maria Anunciata Astrid Joséphine Veronica of Liechtenstein was born on 12 May 1985 in Uccle, Belgium, as the eldest of the three surviving children of Prince Nikolaus of Liechtenstein and Princess Margaretha of Luxembourg. Her younger siblings are Marie-Astrid and Josef-Emanuel.
