Honestly, I of course had already seen the exhibition “Russia, Royalty & The Romanovs” at the Queen’s Gallery of the Buckingham Palace in London in March 2019. Somehow I however visited on a busy day. As I was visiting the Palace of Holyroodhouse in Edinburgh anyway, I decided to have another look and wasn’t disappointed. Smaller, another set up and less items on display than in London and much less crowded. Some of the items were actually much better visible than in London, which I really liked. An exhibition that surely was worth a second visit.
If you are in Edinburgh: the exhibition is on display from 21 June to 3 November 2019. The entrance fee of £7.50 is not included in the one of the Palace of Holyroodhouse. The Queen’s Gallery is situated just outside the gates of the palace. I think there is a combination ticket tough.
