Do you have nothing to do on Friday 26 April 2019, you live nearby and you like good food and interesting company? At the 185-year-old Hotel Tjaarda Oranjewoud, near Heerenveen in the Netherlands, a historical four course-dinner is to take place that evening. There still seem to be some places left.
Four top chefs – J. van der Staaij, Marcel Koning, Marcel Bleuel and Bert Oosting – are each creating a course. In between the courses Bearn Bilker tells stories about the Frisian noble families like Heemstra, Harinxma, Sytzama, Grovestins and Eysinga. You will hear wonderful anecdotes and tragedies, love stories and stories about kidnappings and attacks. You won’t have a boring evening for sure.
